Full Circle Recycling Program

Focus: The Full Circle recycling program is to recycle all aluminum cans possible in one business on a weekly basis. We recycle all aluminum material after crushing each can, those materials and any scraps then get turned into Behr Iron & Metal in Machesney Park.

The Full Circle Recycling Program provides a community service by operating beverage buy-back centers throughout the City and County as well as a full service recycling operation at our main office in Rockford.  This industry provides jobs for our Mosaic clients, reduces landfill disposal and the City and County achieve their waste diversion mandates.  We take pride in our program which can process Rockford area.

Result: The result: a triple bottom line; a social mission of providing jobs for people with disabilities, an environmental mission of protecting the planet and an economic mission of giving back to the community by employing people who will  become taxpayers instead of tax consumers.

Mission: The mission of Full Circle recycling program is to create sustainable recycling jobs for people with disabilities & other barriers to employment, & to generate excess revenue to sustain & grow Mosaic in Rockford.

Summer Ball

The Rockford Park District is proud to present its first ever adult Buddy program. Summer Ball will be an adult version of Buddy Baseball. We will modify rules just slightly to make this league look even more like a typical baseball league. It will be slightly more competitive, but will still remain a recreational league for individuals of all abilities. Each player with a disability related need is paired with an adult volunteer to assist on & off the field The program focuses on team play, exposure to a life long leisure skill, and participation in one of America's favorite past times. All involved will have fun as friendships are formed and skills are developed.
