Last week 12 amazing students from the Creighton University Center for Service and Justice were here on campus with us, bringing joy to our folks! They were a part of a larger group of students from Creighton who went all around the country serving others.  The Creightonian (the weekly news of Creighton University) posted a story yesterday of students reflecting on their trips, including quotes from one of the students who was here on campus.

The staff at Mosaic know the importance of the youth at Axtell having a real summer vacation. This year many of the school age children who get services in Axtell went on a vacation  they helped to choose. The destinations varied from Denver, to Chicago to Branson. The activities on their vacations varied as much as the trips themselves, but each of the vacations were packed with lots of food, sun and fun for trips they will not soon forget.

The school on the Axtell campus is undergoing some major renovations. We have outgrown our current space. Construction started in July and will be complete early fall. Watch this website for announcement of our open house. Not only are we growing to be able to serve more students, we are enhancing our program to include more state of the art educational resources to include a smart board, more iPad's, additional sensory rooms, and training of our staff in the TEACCH (autism) curriculum.
