Mosaic in Pontiac partners with people with intellectual disabilities to provide a meaningful life in a caring community, giving a voice to their needs.

Mosaic in Pontiac provides the following supports:

Supported Group Living
Mosaic supports individuals at six group homes located in Pontiac and Dwight. We help people become more independent in home management, vocational skills, community mobility, transportation, and recreational activities.

Day Services
We provide in-home day services for people of retirement age or those who are unable to attend regular day services for other reasons. For others, a partnership has been developed with Futures Unlimited in Pontiac and Dwight.

Supported Living Services
Full-time or intermittent supports are provided, which may consist of light housekeeping, managing bills and transportation to and from appointments or errands. People live in their own apartments while others with their families.

Host Homes
Mosaic provides host home/foster care services for adults with intellectual disabilities. Host Homes match a person with a disability with someone who provides the assistance needed for daily living in a family-like or roommate-like setting. The provider works as an independent contractor, receiving full support from Mosaic to ensure a successful and satisfying experience.

Recreational Opportunities
We believe that people should have opportunities to attain wholeness of life, including the recreation and community involvement. Community resources, such as trips to museums, festivals and sporting events help meet people's social and leisure needs.

Spiritual Opportunities
As a faith-based organization, Mosaic supports spiritual nurturing and growth. With the assistance of staff and volunteers, people are encouraged to participate in religious services of their choice. Mosaic strives to work with all religions to promote inclusion with various faith communities.

Mosaic Allied Voices
Mosaic engages volunteers to promote public awareness of disability issues, to advocate for equality, and to advance sustainable strategies that shape public policy.

Self-Advocacy Training
We value the input from the people receiving services. Mosaic support individuals with self-advocate groups by providing mentoring and teaching them how to voice their own needs.
