Mosaic in Central Nebraska partners with people with intellectual disabilities to provide a meaningful life in a caring community, giving a voice to their needs.

Mosaic in Central Nebraska provides the following supports:

Day Services:

  • Assisted Day Services provide structured supervision and training in a day, work-like setting often referred to as the vocational center, but may be provided in any setting where staff are onsite and available when the person served is present.

  • Supported Day Services provide structured supervision and training, typically in community settings. People in this program receive intermittent supervision and training and will not be required to have staff present onsite at all times.

  • No-Walls Day Services provide a structured and supervised day of meaningful employment and volunteer opportunities in the community. We ask people what they want to do, and then help connect them with their desired job or volunteer opportunity and work with them along the way through job coaching, skills training and supports.

  • Job Coaching provides training for people to perform job tasks to the employer’s specifications and to learn the interpersonal skills necessary to be accepted as workers at the job site.

  • Respite provides support for family caretakers to enable time away.

Residential Services:

  • Assisted Residential Services offer structured supervision, evaluation, training, independent living and social/recreational skills. Homes are located in residential neighborhoods where the people we serve are active members of their neighborhoods and communities.

  • Host Homes provide people served by Mosaic the opportunity to live with a family or in a roommate-like environment with a Host Home Provider.

  • Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF) provide 24-hour residential supports and supervision to people we serve. Meals, transportation, and medical service are included in this service. Homes are located in residential neighborhoods where the people we serve are active members of their neighborhoods and communities.

  • Medical Support Units (MSU) provide 24-hour community based residential and medical support. Homes are located in residential neighborhoods where the people we serve are active members of their neighborhoods and communities.

  • Supported Residential Services offer intermittent services to maintain or increase independent living skills. For people who live in their own apartments or homes, Mosaic staff provide individualized supports including assistance with banking, grocery shopping, medical appointments, and accessing their communities. Typically, people are eligible if they do not require staffing 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

School/Educational Services:

  • Summer Youth Program provides an alternate outlet during summer for school-aged children offering an entertaining and educational experience.

  • School Services are provided by Mosaic as one-on-one concentrated assistance for students in elementary and secondary schools.

These supports are tailored to the needs of each person and his or her loved ones.
