Mosaic in Western Colorado

Think about the people in your life whom you see on a regular basis. If you took away the people who are paid to be there (health care professionals, workers, etc.), who would be left? For many people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, there’s no one left.

They’re often isolated from others, not by physical space, but by society’s attitudes toward disability. You can help change that. March is National Intellectual and Development Disabilities Awareness Month. If you know someone with a disability, take the time to become a friend. You both will benefit!
